When you start a game, our system may match you against a past performance of a real player (or a derivative thereof) who completed the game on the ZO Play platform with the same game configurations. This ensures that the match participants face identical challenges, maintaining the integrity of our skill-based competition.

By playing on ZO Play, you acknowledge that your own completed game data may be used in a similar manner to challenge other players in future matches. This model allows for fair, immediate, and authentic competition at any time.

Our algorithms strive to match you with real, live players who have similar skill levels. However, if our matching algorithm is unable to find an opponent of your approximate skill level among live players, we may match you with a recorded game from a real player with a similar skill level or a derivative thereof (referred to as a 'Historical Playthrough'). In these cases, we generate the profile displayed and do not use the user profile of the player whose record was used for privacy reasons. In any case, we never pre-determine the outcome in any game. By playing the game you accept and confirm the deployment of Historical Playthrough as a valid mechanism.

The platform ensures that all players in the same match, experience the same game setup parameters. Therefore, once you start a match, whether against a live player or a Historical Playthrough, you will play under identical conditions as every other player in that match.

For example, in Solitaire, once a match begins, you and your opponent—regardless of whether it's a live player or a Historical Playthrough—will face the same initial hand, with all cards (including covered cards) placed in the same order. You will both have the same playing time and follow the same game rules, including point addition and subtraction.

If you achieve a score that surpasses that of the other player(s) in the game and are otherwise eligible for a prize, you will win it, regardless of whether you compete against live players or Historical Playthroughs.

In addition to the above, if you are playing in practice mode, you will be matched with computer based opponents. Such computer based opponents will be clearly identified before the conclusion of the matchmaking process.

By using ZO Play, you acknowledge and agree that your completed gameplay sessions, scores, statistics, and related gameplay data may be recorded and used by ZO Play for various operational purposes, including matchmaking, enabling Historical Playthroughs, maintaining fair gameplay, detecting fraud or abuse, improving platform performance, analytics, and enhancing user experience.

Where applicable, your gameplay data may be used to create Historical Playthroughs for future matches against other players. Any profile displayed in connection with a Historical Playthrough may be system-generated for gameplay purposes and may not identify the original player whose gameplay record was used.

No. Whether you are matched against a live player or a Historical Playthrough, the outcome of the game depends solely on your performance under the applicable game rules and scoring system.

Your objective in every match is to achieve the highest score possible. If your score exceeds the score of the other participant(s) and you are otherwise eligible under the applicable rules, you will win the relevant prize or ranking outcome, irrespective of whether the opponent was live or non-live.

ZO Pass can unlock multiple features and benefits on the ZO Play app. You can access premium ZO TV content, Unlock premium features on games and chats on ZO Social.

ZO Pass is powered by UPI Autopay. You get 1 day trial pass by paying an amount of ₹2 while setting the subscription autopay mandate. The full amount will not be debited until the 1-day trial period is completed.

ZO Pass is available for upto ₹799 and for upto 90 days. Lower-value ZO Pass packs may also be available for shorter validity periods. Check the account section of the app for more details

ZO Pass can be purchased via UPI Autopay subscriptions only. The available Payment methods are Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm UPI.

Users on trial subscriptions are not eligible for refunds.

Users on full subscription may avail upto a 50% refund of the subscription amount where a refund request is raised within 24 hours of an auto-debit. Upon placing such a refund request, the ZO Pass mandate and subscription shall stand immediately terminated. The applicable refund amount shall be processed and may take up to 5–7 working days to be credited to the user’s bank account. Except as expressly provided herein, all purchases made on the ZO Play application are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

You can cancel the autopay mandate for ZO Pass subscription from the my passes screen on ZO Play app or from the autopay section of the payment app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) used for creating the mandate.

Once paused, any upcoming subscription debit is postponed based on the number of days selected for pause. After the said duration, the auto-debit would be initiated. The subscription pause is also unpaused if you access the app features prior to the completion of pause time period
